Projects

Below, you'll find a more detailed look at what I did and how I approached each project.

UCF Business Incubation Program

Videography/Editing Intern

My core responsibility was to create testimonial-style content that increased awareness of the program, it's successes, and its resources, and helped support efforts to expand the programs capabilities through increased funding and institutional support.

To deliver on this, I thoroughly researched each founder and their companies before an interview, allowing me to ask thoughtful and informed questions about their story, businesses, and how the incubator has contributed to their growth.

Before the internship even began, I studied “Stop Asking Questions” by Andrew Warner, a veteran podcast host with over 2000 interviews. It significantly improved my ability to ask thoughtful questions that set my guests up for success, and led to much more meaningful conversations.

Repetition dramatically improved my editing workflow. By the end of the internship, I could edit a full podcast episode and 13 short-form clips all within my allotted 12 hours per week - a process that initially took me significantly longer.

As part of the program's first cohort of interns, I worked in an environment where many processes had yet to be established. This required me to take initiative, adapt quickly, and build systems that can be easily replicated by the interns that follow me.

One of the most rewarding parts of the internship was building relationships with people I admire and learning from them firsthand while having a real conversation.

Nina Elise, LLC

Pinterest Content Marketing Intern

Although this was my first ever internship, my employer entrusted me with leading the development and implementation of the brand's organic Pinterest content strategy, giving me the freedom to experiment with different ideas, test creative approaches, and refine them through feedback.

Each week, I wrote two blog articles, created four promotional Pinterest graphics for each of the previous week's blogs, and 21 lifestyle pins, which I designed in Canva using photos I edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic. Naturally, I had to develop an efficient weekly workflow to sustain this rigorous content schedule.

I'm especially proud of the quantity and consistency of work I produced during this internship. Building efficient systems and workflows allowed me to consistently meet weekly deadlines and deliver high-quality content that exceeded expectations.

Fairway Racing

Videographer/Editor

My friends and I bought a 2002 Honda Civic to race in the 24 Hours of Lemons endurance race, and I saw it as a perfect opportunity to gain videography and editing experience by documenting the whole process, from stripping the interior to reduce weight, gutting and replacing the ruined electrical system, to all the funny moments in between.

But, my goal wasn’t just to clip the funniest moments. I wanted to capture the knowledge gained throughout the journey - the process, mistakes, and solutions that came with retrofitting the car, and to create a resource that others could use as a reference point while pursuing similar projects of their own.

I edited the raw footage into short-form content aimed for our target audience of teenage and young adult males who like cars and racing, focusing on creating informative content, entertaining content, and inspiring others to pursue hands-on experiences instead of passively consuming content online.

I applied different storytelling approaches depending on the type of content I was creating. For informative videos, I focused on editing the content for a smooth flow of information, ensuring each clip naturally guided viewers through the process. For entertaining content, I focused on editing structure around the most engaging moments.

Aromatic Sensin

E-commerce Brand Founder

Digital Marketing Specialist

As a senior in high school, I recognized that being fluent in digital marketing would be an invaluable skill to develop because we live in such a digital age.

My previous project, Insight Elite Staffing, taught me that applying skills in a real-work environment with real people and real consequences develop you in ways that cannot be taught in school or online, which led me to starting my own e-commerce brand.

Through this experience, I gained exposure to the full e-commerce process, from building a Shopify store and managing fulfillment to creating short-form content and running ad campaigns through the Meta Business Suite and Ad Manager.

Insight Elite Staffing

 Staffing Firm Co-Founder

Client Relations Specialist

After gaining experience creating content online, I wanted to challenge myself by developing the ability to work directly with people and create value on a more professional level. I chose staffing because it allowed me to help both sides of the equation: helping local businesses find the people they needed to grow while helping individuals find opportunities that could positively impact their lives.

One of the biggest areas of growth for me was developing my active listening and relationship-building skills. I studied Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss, which teaches active listening techniques the FBI uses in hostage negotiations to get people home safe. I applied these principles when cold calling potential clients, learning how to ask better questions, understand their needs, and build trust through genuine conversations.

My only source of clients was cold calling, and it’s still the most stressful thing I’ve ever done. I did it every day for three months, and through repetition, I became significantly more comfortable communicating with strangers and navigating conversations. I learned firsthand that building relationships is not about simply selling a service. It’s about listening, understanding priorities, and finding ways to provide value.

I also attended networking events to further expand my comfort zone in terms of engaging with people in a professional setting, grow my professional network, and gain exposure to different industries, professional environments, and perspectives.

Independent Fitness Page

Content Creator

After some deep reflection on who I wanted to be, and what impact I wanted to have, I realized I wanted to build a life centered around helping others and creating meaningful, lasting change.

I decided to start with what I knew: how to gain weight as a teenager with a fast metabolism while being a full-time student in high school.

I posted two types of content: Daily eating compilations that showed everything I ate in a day and when, in order to set an example that others could easily follow, and videos showing the tips I created to make bulking easier. Across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, the content reached over 700,000 views, connecting me with thousands of people facing the same challenges I once did.

This is a very meaningful project to me because it was the first time I stepped off the conventional path and took initiative, risk, and responsibility for pursuing my purpose. One of the reasons I feel so secure and confident in myself is because I took the step most people never take: the first step.
